Menomonie and Teletherapy

Rachel Christiansen, MS LMFT-IT

Believing that everyone can benefit from therapy, Rachel appreciates the unique opportunity it offers clients to gain insight, create new patterns in relationships, and find ways to cope with life’s difficulties. She seeks to be collaborative in her work and encourages self-compassion, using a caring and non-judgmental approach to support clients in the important work of healing.  Rachel believes every person has the ability to find contentment, peace and meaning in life.

Rachel enjoys working with individuals (14+), couples and families, and has particular interest in those experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic pain or illness and burnout. She also works with those experiencing various life transitions, loss and grief, parenting challenges and relationship difficulties.  Rachel takes a systemic approach to therapy and strives to be inclusive, equitable and LGBTQ+ affirming.

Rachel graduated from the UW-Stout Marriage and Family Therapy program after transitioning from a career in the legal field. Originally from the Twin Cities, Rachel has lived in Arizona, California, and Mumbai, India, and for more than a decade she has lived with her family in Eau Claire. In Rachel’s free time she enjoys reading, working on puzzles, family game nights, and thinking about whale watching.
